What size are the beds?
The beds furnished in your apartment are full-size, extra long. Queen size sheets best accommodates these beds.

What types of apartments/rooms are available?
We offer a variety of floor plans to suit your needs. We have 4 bedroom/4 bathroom, 4 bedroom/2 bathroom, and 2 bedroom/2 bathroom.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?
Basically we have adopted the plug and play philosophy. Once connected to the internet using an Ethernet cord, you will be prompted to an antivirus scanning website. Once your computer has passed university regulated antivirus scans, you will be free to roam the web!

Is parking available?
Absolutely! Free parking is available to all residents. We are also located along the Silver Line Bus Route for added convenience.

What types of leases are available?
We offer two options on our leases; annual and academic leases. The leases for 2009-2010 are August 22, 2009 through July 31, 2010 for the annual, or August 22, 2009 through May 31, 2010 for the academic.

What is the cost?
Our 4 bedroom/4 bathroom floor plan is $540, our 4 bedroom/2 bathroom is $520, and our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom is $620. Remember, these prices include ALL utilities, not to mention access to our awesome amenities. Please note that this is the price for the annual lease. Our academic lease prices can be obtained by contacting our leasing office.

When can I move in?
The move-in date for Fall is August 22, 2009.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
We want to you feel free to make your apartment your home! Additional furniture may be brought into the apartment; however, the original furniture must remain in place as there are no storage facilities for this.

When is my first payment due?
The first payment must be made August 1, 2008.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
At this time, Vulcan Village does not offer discounts to rent paid in full.

Do I have to have a meal plan?
You are not required to have a meal plan; however, should you choose this option, more information can be obtained from the university's website.

How many people live there?
Our complex accommodates 770 people, this includes on-site management staff.

When do I put down a deposit?
The deposit is due at the time of the lease signing. All upfront fees include:
$25.00 Application fee
$200.00 Service fee

Can I request an apartment or roommates?
Of course! Roommate requests can be made during the leasing process. No roommates? No sweat! Roommate matching is also done by our experienced leasing staff!

Can I use my financial aid?
Financial aid can be used; however, there are a few stipulations. Partial rent cannot be covered by financial aid. Financial aid designated for fall must be used for fall rent and spring financial aid can only be used for spring rent. If you financial aid cannot cover all months of rent within a semester, the money will be applied to the last month of the semester and work backward from there.

What if I need to cancel my lease?
You may cancel your lease within 7 days of lease signing. If you choose to cancel your lease outside of this 7 day window, you will be required to pay a $200 fee and find a replacement. More information regarding the reassignment policy can be obtained at our leasing office.

What are the apartment and furnishing measurements?
The following are the square footage amounts for each floor plan:
4x4: 1,207 square feet
4x2: 1,123 square feet
2x2: 789 square feet

What do I do if I have roommate issues?
All roommate issues are handled with the utmost seriousness and privacy by our management staff. Please see a member of management for roommate issues as soon as they arise to alleviate the situation. Transfers are available if occupancy permits.
