What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?
Wireless internet is provided at the Gables. You must have a wireless card for your computer to access the wireless. These may be purchased at Best Buy, Walmart or most office supply stores.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
You may bring in any pieces of furniture into the apartment. However, please understand that you are sharing space with 3 other roommates. Please discuss what pieces you would like to place in common areas prior.

Can I use my financial aid?
WKU will not make financial aid payments directly to the Gables. If you wish to use financial aid money for rent, you may do so. However, checks must me made out directly to the Gables.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
No, the Gables does not offer a discount for pre-payment.

We have 290 beds

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?
The Gables does not send billings for rental payments. Rent is due on the first of each month with a (3) day grace period. On the 4th day of the month a late fee will be charged.
You may bring your payment into the office, mail it, or utilize the rent drop box located to the left of the front door of the rental office.

What if I need to cancel my lease?
The Gables does not have a lease termination policy. If you need to leave prior to your lease expiration, you will need to find a person to take over your lease assignment. This person must complete all necessary paperwork, pay all necessary fees and sign a lease with the Gables. New Lessee must be approved by the Gables Management.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?
Yes, please let us know if you have roommates that you prefer to live with. Also, if you have an apartment or location that you prefer, please let us know. We will try to accomodate your request. However, please understand that due to the large number of residents and their requests, we may not be able to accomodate you.

Is parking available?
All vehicles must have a Gables parking permit to park at the Gables between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Residents will be issued a parking permit that must be visible in their vehicle at all times. Residents may obtain a temporary parking permit for their guests at the Gables office.
Any vehicles that do not have a (visible) Gables parking permit, will be towed at the owners expense..

What utilities are included in my rent?
Electric, water, sewer and trash removal is included in the renatl payment. There is a $150 utility cap per apartment. Charges ranging above the $150 cap must be reimbursed to the Gables immediately after billing.
Also included in rent is wireless internet and cable t.v. in the living area.

What types of leases are available?
We offer a 12 month lease agreement that expires July 31.
We also offer a 9-month installment lease.
We also offer a summer 3 month lease.

What types of apartments/rooms are available?
We offer a 4 bedroom/2 bath floorplan. Each bedroom is leased individually. Common are living room, kitchen and that rooms are shared with roommates.

How close to campus are you?
The Gables is located right next to WKU off University Blvd. You will easily be able to walk, bike or shuttle to classes.

What is the cost?
Please call the Gables Leasing office for prices, as prices are subject to change. Price includes utilities and cable television in living room are and wireless internet. Each Apartment is fully furnished.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Great News! The Gables added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests! Just log on to our website, click the "Resident's Only" link and "Pay Rent." This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.
