What types of apartments/rooms are available?
Fontainebleu Main building offers 5 person suites containing a single bedroom, double bedroom and large double bedroom. Fontainebleu Annex building offers 4 person suites containing 2 double bedrooms.

How close to campus are you?
Fontainebleu is approximately 12 miles from Santa Barbara City College. Fontainebleu Main building is adjacent to UCSB campus and Fontainebleu Annex building is about 3 blocks to UCSB campus.

When can I move in?
Santa Barbara City College move-in day is August 23, 2008 and UCSB move-in day is September 20, 2008.

If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?
All applicants require a guarantor, regardless of age.

What utilities are included in my rent?
Gas, electricity, water, cable, internet, and refuse pick-up.

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?
Fontainebleu does not send out bills or invoices for monthly installments.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Great News! Fountainebleu added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests! Just log on to our website, click the "Resident's Only" link and "Pay Rent." This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?
You can request roommates and which floor you would like to be on. We will do our best to accommodate.

Is parking available?
Parking is available at Fontainebleu Main and Annex buildings at $800.00 for the academic year. The Fontainebleu Main building also has underground parking available (no oversize vehicles) at $1,100 for the academic year. Parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

When do I put down a deposit?
We do not require a deposit at Fontainebleu. Leases are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do I have to have a meal plan?
Yes, the meal plan has been incorporated in the total lease package.

When is my first payment due?
The first payment is due on July 1, 2008 for Santa Barbara City College students and August 1, 2008 for UCSB students.

Can I use my financial aid?
You can use your financial aid. We suggest selecting the "monthly" payment option on the lease as you will still be responsible to make lease payments as scheduled, regardless of financial aid payments.

What if I need to cancel my lease?
The Fontainebleu lease is a binding contract. Please be sure of your intentions prior to signing the lease and returning it to our office.

How many people live there?
Fontainebleu has 435 total beds. Fontainebleu Main has 255 beds and Fontainebleu Annex has 180 beds.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
Santa Barbara City College students receive a $200.00 discount if payment is received by July 1, 2008. UCSB students receive a $200.00 discount if payment is received by August 1, 2008.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?
An ethernet cord is all you need to hook your computer up to the internet.

What size are the beds?
Newly rennovated rooms will have extra long twin beds. Rooms awaiting rennovation have standard twin beds. We suggest bringing sheets/blankets for an extra long twin that can be (tucked in) if on a standard.
