A Community/Resident Assistant is a student member of the staff who works closely with residents in the buildings. Our CA/RA's live in a building or on a floor and are responsible for helping residents adjust and grow. As a staff member, CA/RA's will work to maintain communication between management and residents and assist in a multitude of administrative tasks. The majority of the CA/RA's responsibilities involve direct contact with residents. One of the most important CA/RA responsibilities is to be available to, and spend time with, all residents in their building.
All CA/RA appointments are made for the term, and are contingent upon satisfactory performance and compliance with all policies and procedures. Compensation includes a no or reduced cost bedroom. CA/RA candidates must be at least a second semester/third quarter first-year student with a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
