What types of apartments/rooms are available?

Cape Place conveniently offers 2 spacious floor plans for you to choose from. We have 4 bedroom/4 bathroom and 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments.

What types of leases are available?

12 month installment leases are available.

How close to campus are you?

We are only 1/4 mile from main campus. If you want to walk or ride your bike you are only a 10 minute bike ride and 20 minute walk to campus.

Can I use my financial aid?

Yes, however we would need proof that the financial aid is on its way with approval from management.

When can I move in?

Our move-in date for Fall Semester 2008 is August 18, 2008.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. We offer lease re-assignments for a $200.00 fee. Please see a Leasing Professional for further details.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available at no charge.

What utilities are included in my rent?

All utilities except for electricity are included in your rental installment. We pay for water, sewer, trash, cable with HBO, internet, and pest control.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?

You can request who your roommates will be.

When do I put down a deposit?

We do not require a deposit. We do require that each resident pays a non-refundable service fee of $200.00 at the time of lease signing.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Yes, you may pay with a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit. You may sign up for reoccuring installment payments, so you do not have to worry about late fees if you should forget. There is no additional cost for this service.

Do I have to have a meal plan?

We do not offer a meal plan.

How many people live there?

Cape Place houses 360 residents.

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?

Cape Place does not send out invoices, however, we will send out friendly rent reminders on when rent is due. Just remember, due on the first-late on the fourth.

If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?

A completed guarantor form is needed to move into your new apartment. If you cannot obtain a guarantor, you may pay a two month security deposit in lieu of a guarantor.

When is my first payment due?

Your first rent installment will be due on or before July 15, 2008 to hold your bedroom.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Unfortunately, Cape Place does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

What size are the beds?

Our beds at Cape Place are all full-size.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

Of course! We want your apartment to feel like home, just remember, the furniture that we provide must remain in the apartment at all times.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet here at Cape Place. These can be found at most any discount store. Your computer may need to be configured to access the internet.
